WHAT WE'RE MADE OF

What We’re Made Of is a textile and apparel design exhibition that uses only 100% biodegradable natural fibers, dyes, and findings. Textile creation uses post-consumer waste from discarded clothing and natural dyes from food scraps in response to consumers’ disposable relationship with garments and the prevalence of synthetic fibers in the fashion industry. Outcomes from this work will be a personal look into the artist’s own history, present, and future, diving into the cyclical nature of existence and asking the question, what are we made of?
